TSC's Huntsville, AL location is actively recruiting a Senior Quality Engineering Manager to support our Production Operations.Responsibilities Overall management of all Discovery & Voyager Program Quality Engineers, ensuring full QE support throughout Design, Development, New Product Introduction, Production Operations and Supplier Technical Support.Provide directives from the Corporate Quality Director and host TSC customers during visits and audits.Develop and sustain QE staff to support Huntsville Operations, Supplier Quality Reviews and daily Production Operations.Participate in Management Reviews, Internal and External QMS Audits, and lead Root Cause Investigation Teams (Corrective and Preventive Actions, Supplier and Customer corrective actions).Track and trend Nonconformance and Nonconformities on a monthly basis and collaborate with cross‑functional teams on overall Quality Improvement and Process Improvements.Create quality plans for production‑ready products and products entering first production.Prepare, evaluate and assess documentation for manufacturing, inspection and test phases, working with production and inspection to resolve issues and present metrics highlighting improvement opportunities.Prepare First Article Inspection documentation and support PCA (Physical Configuration Audit) and FCA (Functional Configuration Audit).Witness DVT and Qualification Testing, review requirement validation evidence, and support FRACA for failures discovered during testing.Participate in Material Review Board processes as needed.Develop and implement new or improve existing internal operating procedures and work instructions, including creation of Corrective Action Requests and ensuring timely resolution.Conduct Internal Audits, manage audit schedules, and review documentation on final hardware for accuracy and completeness.Perform final release of finished hardware and notify Quality Manager of clearance to ship.Required Knowledge Experience with development programs and transition to production.Experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100 Quality Management Systems and QMS auditing.Experience applying audit standards, procedures and techniques.Familiarity with IPC, J‑STD, MIL and DOD standards.Experience with configuration control and material traceability processes and tools.Required Skills Strong attention to detail and strong analytical skills in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action determination.Excellent organization, planning, verbal and written communication skills.Ability to maintain records and documents in accordance with policies and procedures.Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment and collaborate effectively.Ability to apply, review, interpret and ensure compliance with relevant contract quality notes.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Ability to summarize issues from collected data and present concise summaries in visual form.Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or Equivalent.10 years' experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Quality Engineering roles in a Manufacturing Environment.U.S. Citizenship required.Compliance with a comprehensive background check, security investigation and drug screening.Preferred Qualifications 5–7 years' experience in Circuit Card Assemblies & Integration.5–7 years' experience in Mechanical Assemblies.DoD or Military Hardware Manufacturing experience.Benefits Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.ESOP contributions.401(k) Matching Program.Flexible Work Schedules.Tuition Reimbursement.Paid Leave.Equal Opportunity Employment These regulations prohibit discrimination against qualified individuals based on their status as protected veterans or individuals with disabilities, and prohibit discrimination against all individuals based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or for inquiring about, discussing, or disclosing information about compensation.
