Kforce has a client in Phoenix, AZ that is seeking a Senior Quality Technician for an onsite, full time, direct hire role. Schedule: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (flex to 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM). Summary: We are working directly with the hiring manager on an exclusive search for a Quality Technician with strong experience in electro-mechanical inspection and advanced metrology tools. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on, precision-driven environment. Responsibilities:
  • Perform detailed inspections of electro-mechanical components and assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering specs and quality standards
  • Utilize precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, dial indicators, hard gauges) to verify dimensions and tolerances
  • Program and operate inspection equipment including CMM, FARO/Hexagon scanning arms, Keyence IM systems, comparators, and surface plates/height gauges
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation
  • Apply GD&T principles to assess dimensional relationships and identify nonconformances
  • Document inspection results and quality issues in accordance with internal processes
  • Identify and escalate defects, support root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions
  • Support incoming, in-process, and final inspections across production
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to improve product quality
  • Ensure proper handling and calibration awareness of inspection equipment

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as QC Inspector or Quality Technician with electro-mechanical instruments and components is desired.
  • Experience with operating and troubleshooting CMM equipment. Programming of CMM's is a plus.
  • Proficient in use of common measurement instruments (micrometers, calipers, hard gauges, pin gauges, dial indicators)
  • Ability to program or operate inspection lab equipment (CMM, FARO/Hexagon Scanning Arm, Keyence IM, comparator, height gauge/surface plate)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Thorough understanding of GD&T

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
