Job Description

The Sr. Quality Technician performs detailed inspections and quality checks throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products meet defined specifications and quality standards. This role works closely with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to identify nonconformances, document inspection results, and support corrective and preventive actions. The Quality Technician uses precision measurement tools, verifies documentation, supports first article and setup approvals, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to all applicable quality and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections to verify that products meet established specifications and quality standards.
• Use precision measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers to measure components and assemblies accurately.
• Interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and engineering drawings to evaluate product conformance.
• Document inspection results clearly and accurately, including measurement data, nonconformances, and observations.
• Identify, report, and help investigate nonconformances, working with manufacturing and engineering teams to determine root causes.
• Support corrective and preventive actions by providing inspection data, feedback, and verification of implemented solutions.
• Verify and review documentation related to quality, including inspection records, specifications, and work instructions.
• Support first article inspections and setup approvals to ensure new or modified processes produce conforming products.
• Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods to monitor processes and identify trends or variations that may impact quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in quality processes and manufacturing practices.
• Assist in the calibration and proper use of measurement tools and inspection equipment.
• Coach and lead other technicians by providing guidance on inspection techniques, measurement methods, and quality standards.
• Adhere to all applicable quality, safety, and operational procedures while performing daily tasks.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a similar discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in quality control within a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T and detailed specifications.
• Proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Hands-on experience using precision measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• Strong understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and its application in manufacturing.
• Ability to coach and lead other technicians in quality and inspection practices.
• Effective collaboration skills to work with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams.
• Attention to detail and strong documentation skills for recording inspection results and nonconformances.

This role operates in a manufacturing environment that emphasizes quality, safety, and collaboration. This individual works closely with production and engineering personnel on the shop floor, using precision measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers to perform inspections. The position involves regular interaction with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documentation, and requires consistent adherence to established quality and safety procedures. The work setting supports continuous improvement and encourages knowledge sharing, particularly in coaching and guiding other technicians in quality practices.

This is a Permanent position based out of Horsham, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $80000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
