Quality Technician
Position Overview
Senior Quality Technician will ensure the quality and precision of CNC machined components for aerospace, medical, and commercial applications. This senior role demands expertise in mechanical inspection, CMM programming, and AS9100D compliance, with a focus on tight tolerances down to ±0.0003. You will collaborate across teams, lead quality efforts during manager absences, and drive excellence in a dynamic job shop environment.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints and travelers to inspect complex, tight tolerance parts.

Verify part conformance using calipers, micrometers, and DCC CMMs with ±0.0003 precision.

Sign off on 1st piece inspection and in process inspections when parts are acceptable.

Program and operate CMM/Keyence systems for new part setups as required.

Prepare AS9100D FAI reports for military and medical clients when required.

Maintain open communication with CNC operators and management regarding job status, problems, or any changes to work in process.

Monitor trends, detect defects, and communicate findings to CNC operators and management.

Train junior technicians and act as department lead during Quality Manager absences.

Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Keep work areas organized and clean.

Perform other duties assigned by the Quality Manager as needed or required.



* Extensive experience in a quality control environment, requiring either 10 or more years of experience with a High School Diploma or 7 or more years with an Associate or Technical certification.
* Advanced proficiency in reading complex blueprints and a strong mastery of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards.
* Proven expertise in CMM and Keyence system programming and operation, with a strong preference for candidates experienced in PCDmis.
* Mastery of both digital and non-digital shop measuring tools, including micrometers with vernier scales and calipers, complemented by strong Excel skills for data analysis
