Role overview:
Escalent is seeking a Senior Qualtrics CX & Insights Specialist to join our Consumer & Retail team. This is a senior individual-contributor role that sits at the intersection of Qualtrics platform management, market research execution, and client-facing insights. It is a distinctly broader and more technical position than a traditional Insights role, requiring both deep platform expertise and a consultative mindset needed to partner directly with clients.
The successful candidate will own the end-to-end Qualtrics experience across survey programming, interactive dashboard development, platform governance, and enterprise integrations.
This role requires someone who can operate independently on ambiguous technical challenges, assess feasibility across interconnected systems, and communicate clearly across business, technical, data, and privacy teams.
The Salary Range for this position is $75,000 - $115,000. If this is not the right level for you, please check out our other postings. While this position is primarily remote, candidates should reside in the Seattle, Washington metro area or the Denver, Colorado area, and be available for occasional onsite meetings and local team gatherings as business needs arise.
Key Responsibilities:
Dashboard Development & Visualization
- Build and maintain interactive, client-facing Qualtrics dashboards for ad hoc market research and tracking programs.
- Translate research outputs and crosstabs into clear dashboard visualizations; manage data appending and KPI consistency across waves.
- Present dashboards to clients and stakeholders and incorporate feedback iteratively throughout delivery.
Survey Programming & Data Quality
- Program Qualtrics surveys including Survey Flow, skip logic, randomization, quotas, and embedded data; use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for survey customization and branding.
- Ensure survey design and data structures support downstream dashboard and reporting requirements.
Systems Architecture & Impact Analysis
- Look beyond immediate requests to assess how proposed changes affect connected surveys, dashboards, integrations, user access, and downstream business processes.
- Design solutions with scalability, reuse, and maintainability in mind; document dependencies and decisions to reduce reliance on tribal knowledge.
Technical Troubleshooting & Consultative Problem Solving
- Work through ambiguous and complex issues across the Qualtrics platform and connected systems: investigate root causes, evaluate alternatives, and recommend practical solutions.
Enterprise Integration & Identity Management
- Work with enterprise platforms including Salesforce, Snowflake, Databricks, Adobe Analytics, and Quantum Metric from an integration and connectivity perspective.
- Manage enterprise SSO, user provisioning, roles, groups, permissions, and service accounts; troubleshoot access issues and understand how identity decisions affect the broader platform experience.
Governance, Documentation & Process Improvement
- Create clear, durable technical and process documentation covering requirements, configurations, dependencies, decisions, testing, and support procedures.
- Evaluate AI-enabled and automation-based approaches to reduce manual effort, accelerate troubleshooting, improve documentation quality, and streamline cross-team processes — within appropriate governance and security requirements.
- 7+ years of hands-on Qualtrics experience, with substantial depth in both dashboard development and survey programming.
- Proven experience building interactive, client-facing market research dashboards — ideally for brand tracking, customer tracking, or other multi-wave longitudinal studies.
- Strong understanding of quantitative survey data and research outputs, including crosstabs, banners, derived variables, weighting, and significance indicators.
- Experience implementing complex Qualtrics CX platform capabilities: surveys, dashboards, workflows, directories, permissions, embedded data, and digital intercepts.
- Ability to assess the downstream impact of platform changes across surveys, dashboards, integrations, access, and connected systems.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills: able to investigate ambiguous issues, evaluate alternatives, and recommend solutions across JavaScript, APIs, web technologies, and platform extensions.
- Experience supporting enterprise integrations involving APIs, authentication, service accounts, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of enterprise SSO, user provisioning, roles, groups, and permissions management.
- Custom JavaScript experience for Qualtrics survey and dashboard customization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to work directly with client business analysts and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong data visualization skills and ability to present complex survey data clearly and intuitively.
- Governance mindset: understands the importance of standards, documentation, controlled change, and appropriate access in enterprise platform environments.
What Success Looks Like:
In the first 90 days, a successful hire will have:
- Established a clear understanding of Escalent's Qualtrics platform architecture, active programs, integrations, and governance practices.
- Delivered or meaningfully contributed to at least one client-facing dashboard, meeting quality, accuracy, and timeline expectations.
- Identified and documented at least one opportunity to improve platform governance, consistency, or process efficiency.
