Senior Research Scientist in Quantum Device Technology
As a Senior Research Scientist in Quantum Device Technology, you will perform research covering a broad array of topics in Quantum computing, influencing the functional and IBM strategy. You will have a vision of the functional or unit mission, understanding organizational resources, priorities, needs, and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive Research Initiatives • Perform research covering a broad array of topics in Quantum computing, including: • Gates • Coherence • Design • Simulation • Test • Tuning • Photonics • Interconversion • Josephson electronics • Device theory
• Develop Strategic Vision • Influence the functional and IBM strategy, having a vision of the functional or unit mission and understanding organizational resources, priorities, needs, and policies.
• Mentor and Lead • Mentor multiple people inside and outside the organization in both technical and career capacities and lead teams or challenges to achieve overall functional program success.
• Build Relationships • Initiate and build new relationships with technical or business leaders, helping to make complex strategic decisions that require deep technical knowledge.
• Deliver Impact • Contribute to the development of IBM products and services through individual contributions and/or contributions of the teams challenges led.
