Senior R&D Engineering Project Manager

Join an organization that ensures a more secure world through connecting and protecting our customers with inventive electrical solutions.What You Will Experience in This PositionLead teams to develop and design New Product Introduction products following a stage‑gate process from Discover, through Develop and Deploy and launch in a timely mannerDrive, coordinate and maintain project schedules; lead and partner with engineers and designers related to product design activitiesDirect outside activities such as regulatory or other third‑party testing; lead cross‑functional teams acting as the central point of coordination of Project Management, Engineering, Operations, Supply, ISC, Quality and Compliance. This can also cover both branded platform products, and products engineered for specific customer applicationManage a portfolio of projects to ensure projects are on‑track and raise any project roadblocks; identify, track and mitigate risks early through structured risk planning and mitigation strategiesTrack Project Portfolio KPIs and continuously improve project and product development processes to reduce product development cycle timeYou HaveBachelor's degree in engineering required5+ years of related engineering experience of which 2+ years of project management and/or leading teams experienceKnowledgeable in Microsoft Office 360 tools, including SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence) for backlog management, progress tracking and reporting is preferredAbility to provide work direction to work teams to improve efficiency, effectiveness and collaborationEstablish a team environment with open communication, identifying problems and establishing resolutionsPromote the sharing of knowledge to strengthen technical depth of staff, ensure adaptable operational support, and enable process improvementsApproximately 10% domestic travel with potential for international travel is requiredPay TransparencynVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance.
