Description

Your Role

As a Senior Raw Material Specialist, you will manage cross-brand and cross-category wash development from concept through production readiness. In partnership with cross-functional teams, you will help develop and deliver high-quality washes that align with design intent, brand aesthetic, and performance standards - on time and at scale.

You will collaborate closely with teams including Design, Pre-Production, Production, Merchandising, and Asia-based partners to ensure seamless execution throughout the development lifecycle.

Your Impact

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with your Manager and Design partners to identify and develop new wash techniques that support knit, woven and denim fabrics on a seasonal basis
  • Develop and track all wash at a color level for knit, woven and denim fabrics in accordance with our development calendar, ensure all wash submits are on hand for milestone meetings and approved in time to meet our bulk production deliverables
  • Organize and expand on a wash technique library to support evolving trends and design needs, as well as support our multi-country allocation strategy
  • Maintenance of all wash status (comments, approvals, rejections in PLM system for easy reporting
  • Communication with Asia-based VS Wash Team as well as vendors and laundries to ensure wash requests are communicated clearly and meet our development timelines
  • Communication of all wash status to cross functional partners in weekly CFT meetings
  • Apply technical expertise to troubleshoot complex development challenges and implement effective solutions
  • Identify and mitigate potential manufacturing or costing risks early to ensure quality execution in bulk production
  • Contribute innovative ideas supporting wash development, sustainability initiatives, and product advancement
  • Foster positive collaboration by consistently demonstrating shared values and high standards

Minimum Salary: $114,300.00

Maximum Salary: $154,875.00

VS&Co provides a range of compensation for this role as shown. Your actual salary will be determined by a number of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic region, or other relevant factors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in raw material and/or wash development
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proven problem-solving ability with the capacity to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of wash and wet processing development, for knit and woven fabric & denim
  • Awareness of wash trends and industry innovation
  • Experience working with international supply bases
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PLM systems
