Senior Real Estate Paralegal

Compensation: $140,000 - $210,000 DOE

Location: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Orange County (Any U.S. Office)

Schedule: Hybrid 3/2, M-F

LHH is partnering with a prestigious global law firm to recruit a Senior Real Estate Paralegal. This position supports attorneys through all phases of commercial real estate transactions, with a strong focus on due diligence, title and survey review, document preparation, and transaction management. The successful candidate will work closely with attorneys and clients on complex real estate matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and related due diligence materials.

  • Prepare title objection letters, seller response letters, and due diligence summaries.

  • Coordinate with title companies regarding title policy coverage, endorsements, and clearance of title issues.

  • Review and comment on surveys and zoning reports, working directly with vendors to resolve issues.

  • Prepare mortgage assignment and termination documents related to loan payoffs.

  • Draft escrow instruction letters and assist with transaction closings.

  • Review lease documents and prepare lease abstracts.

  • Order and analyze UCC, bankruptcy, litigation, and lien searches; prepare summaries of findings.

  • Prepare ancillary loan documents and conveyance documents.

  • Support real estate, condominium, cooperative, and financing transactions from contract through closing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Minimum 10 years of real estate paralegal experience within an Am Law 100 law firm required.

  • Experience with analyzing UCC, bankruptcy, litigation, and lien searches required

  • Strong experience handling commercial real estate transactions and due diligence.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across offices.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Flexibility to work additional hours as needed.
