    Senior Real Estate Performance Analyst
     
    Summary:

    The Senior Real Estate Performance Analyst must be capable of working with MIG’s most complex client relationships.  The Senior Real Estate Performance Analyst will function as a subject matter expert on investment performance related matters. A Senior Real Estate Performance Analyst will also be responsible for verifying Performance Analyst work, which may include data checking and performance reporting process reviews. The Senior Performance Analyst will work with other MIG departments to ensure proper workflow, recommend and initiate workflow improvements, and increase inter department communication.

    The Senior Real Estate Performance Analyst should have between 2-4 years of applicable experience. We encourage employees to continue to grow their economic and investment knowledge by enrolling in the CFA, CIPM, or CAIA programs.

    Responsibilities:
    • Independently gather, organize, and verify financial and other portfolio data related to client accounts, investment managers, funds and strategies
    • Produce client-ready data for quarterly and monthly reviews, including reviewing data for accuracy and reasonableness
    • Apply knowledge of commercial real estate, economic indicators, investment markets, attribution and benchmarks to analysis of investment results
    • Functions as a subject matter expert on investment performance related issues
    • Review peer produced performance reports
    • Maintain and update regularly databases of investment information
    • Maintain and update the client investment returns in the performance reporting system
    • Calculate and verify client-related investment data and statistics
    • Collaborate on the development of analytical tools and performance software improvements
    • Work with Investment Analysts and Consultants with special projects as needed
    • Fulfill any and all other duties deemed necessary by management

    Required Skills and Knowledge:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, general business or equivalent
    • 2-4 years of applicable investment experience
    • Progress towards CIPM, CFA, or CAIA designation preferred
    • Excellent quantitative skills with strong knowledge of investment statistics and financial concepts
    • Familiarity with commercial real estate: reporting, financial concepts, and/or accounting is preferred
    • Facility with spreadsheet programs and word processing software
    • Ability to gather, organize, and coordinate data from disparate sources
    • Demonstrated skill at analyzing, evaluating, and reviewing quantitative information, with a high degree of accuracy
    • Excellent attention to detail, organized work habits, and deadline oriented
    • Ability to work independently and part of a team using prudent judgment and to pro-actively seek out new projects
