Client Overview:
Our client is a private equity firm based in New York, hiring a Senior Real Estate Underwriter to join their growing team in Miami, Florida.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$100k - $110k plus Bonus

Position Overview:
The Senior Real Estate Underwriter position is primarily responsible for underwriting commercial real estate loans. This role involves close collaboration with the New York real estate team to support underwriting, market research, and financial analysis for real estate acquisitions and development opportunities in the Florida market. Responsibilities of the Senior Real Estate Underwriter:
  • Underwrite commercial real estate assets, including loan underwriting and financial modeling.
  • Perform market research specific to Florida real estate trends and opportunities.
  • Analyze risks, returns, and profitability for property investment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with management on valuation strategies and financial planning.
  • Support the development and implementation of underwriting procedures and processes.
  • Conduct complex business analysis using Excel-based models.
Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Real Estate Underwriter:
  • 5+ years of experience underwriting commercial real estate loans.
  • 2+ years of experience working with the Florida real estate market.
  • Advanced Excel modeling and financial analysis skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Real Estate Underwriter:
  • Proven ability to build effective partnerships with diverse internal teams.
  • Experience working with private equity or investment firms.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, or a related field is required.
