Senior Regulatory Specialist (Financial Services)

About Vixio

At Vixio, we're disrupting and building the future of regulatory intelligence.

We are a pioneering RegTech business helping global organisations turn regulatory complexity into competitive advantage. Our platforms combine automation, AI-enhanced insights and deep regulatory expertise to deliver real-time regulatory intelligence and foresight.

Through powerful tools, intelligent alerts and workflow automation, Vixio enables compliance teams to move beyond manual research and spreadsheets, empowering them to anticipate change, act faster and make confident strategic decisions.

Trusted by the world's leading brands, across Payments, Banking and Gambling, our solutions provide actionable regulatory intelligence across more than 180 jurisdictions, helping organisations navigate risk, unlock new markets and stay ahead in rapidly evolving industries.

The Opportunity

Vixio's clients, compliance leaders, general counsels, heads of regulatory affairs, and their teams, are navigating one of the most complex and fast-moving regulatory environments in the world. They need more than a database of requirements. They need a trusted expert who understands their business, anticipates the questions they haven't asked yet, and translates regulatory complexity into decisions they can act on.

The Expert Partner role exists to be that person.

This is a senior individual contributor position that sits at the intersection of deep subject matter expertise, strategic client advisory, and commercial impact. You will own a portfolio of key client relationships, operating as their primary point of expertise for data and regulatory intelligence. You will be a prolific producer of high-quality analysis and thought leadership. And you will work in close partnership with Vixio's sales team to drive retention, expansion, and new business, not by selling, but by being indispensable.

This role is not defined by hierarchy. It is defined by impact. You will work independently, managing your own priorities and client commitments, while contributing actively to a collaborative team that sets the standard for regulatory intelligence. The best Expert Partners combine the depth of a specialist with the instincts of a trusted advisor, someone clients genuinely rely on, and who makes Vixio's value tangible every time they engage.

What You Will Do:

Be the Expert Clients Rely On

  • Own a defined portfolio of senior client relationships, serving as their primary point of expertise for data and regulatory intelligence across key jurisdictions and priorities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each client's regulatory environment, business model, compliance challenges, and strategic objectives. Use that understanding to make every interaction genuinely valuable and to teach the client something new.
  • Map Vixio's intelligence and solutions to client-specific pain points, ensuring clients always understand how our intelligence connects to their most pressing decisions, not just their general compliance obligations.
  • Respond to complex regulatory and technical queries with speed, precision, and the kind of nuanced judgement that comes from genuine expertise rather than surface-level research.
  • Act as the escalation point for technically complex or strategically sensitive client questions, both within the team and directly with clients.
  • Maintain a proactive relationship with each client, anticipating what will matter to them next, not waiting to be asked.

Deliver High-Impact Client Engagements

  • Design and facilitate client workshops, roundtables, and strategy sessions that go beyond information delivery to generate genuine insight and provoke strategic thinking.
  • Present at C-level briefings, industry events, and Analyst Access sessions with authority, clarity, and the confidence to field challenging questions in real time.
  • Build and deliver bespoke client engagement plans that reflect each client's priorities, maturity, and the regulatory developments most relevant to their business.
  • Lead virtual and in-person sessions with senior compliance, legal, and regulatory affairs stakeholders, ensuring every interaction adds measurable value.
  • Represent Vixio externally at industry conferences and regulatory forums, contributing to the market's understanding of regulatory compliance and raising Vixio's profile in the process.

Write Analysis and Thought Leadership That Sets the Standard

  • Produce high-quality regulatory analysis, intelligence, and thought leadership that demonstrates genuine depth; content that clients read because it makes them smarter, not because it fulfils a subscription obligation.
  • Write with precision and clarity, translating complex regulatory frameworks and regulatory change and requirements into structured, actionable intelligence that compliance professionals can use directly.
  • Develop original perspectives on emerging market, compliance and technology trends and regulatory shifts and developments; analysis that positions Vixio as the authoritative voice in the market.
  • Contribute to Vixio's marketing campaigns to drive market engagement and reinforce Vixio's reputation.
  • Bring intellectual rigor and a distinct point of view to everything you write, content that reflects the standard of a senior expert, not a summary of what regulators have published.

Drive Commercial Impact Through Expertise

  • Work in close partnership with Vixio's commercial team to support client retention, expansion, and new business, providing the subject matter depth and client credibility that convert interest into commitment.
  • Participate in commercial conversations, product demonstrations, and prospect briefings where your expertise is the differentiator, helping potential clients understand the value of Vixio's intelligence in the context of their specific challenges.
  • Identify expansion opportunities within your client portfolio, new use cases, additional jurisdictions, emerging compliance needs, and surface these to the commercial team with the context needed to act on them.
  • Contribute to renewal conversations by ensuring clients are consistently deriving value from Vixio's intelligence throughout their subscription, not just at renewal time.
  • Feed market insight, what clients are asking, what competitors are doing, what gaps exist in current coverage, back into the product and Reg Intelligence leadership to inform Vixio's roadmap and commercial strategy.

Contribute to the Intelligence Function

  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure the intelligence you draw on is accurate, current, and reflective of the highest standards.
  • Share client feedback, market insight, and regulatory intelligence with the broader team in a way that improves the quality and relevance of Vixio's content for all clients.
  • Contribute to peer review and quality assurance where your expertise adds value, without carrying formal line management or QA accountability.
  • Champion the use of AI tools and automation to improve the efficiency and depth of your own analytical work, and share what works with colleagues.
  • Operate with the discipline and self-direction of a senior individual contributor, managing your own time, priorities, and client commitments without requiring close oversight, while remaining a fully connected and collaborative member of the team.

Skills & Experience:

  • Significant experience in regulatory compliance and Financial Services (banking, payments) with a depth and breadth of expertise that gives you immediate credibility with senior client stakeholders.
  • A proven track record of building and managing senior client relationships, not account management, but genuine trusted advisory relationships where clients value your judgement and seek out your perspective.
  • Demonstrable experience presenting to, facilitating workshops with, and advising C-level and senior leadership audiences, in both planned and reactive settings.
  • Exceptional written communication: you produce analysis and thought leadership that is intellectually rigorous, clearly structured, and genuinely useful, not just technically accurate.
  • Strong commercial instincts: you understand how client relationships connect to business outcomes, you recognize opportunities when you see them, and you work naturally and effectively alongside commercial teams.
  • The analytical depth to make independent, well-reasoned judgements on complex and ambiguous regulatory questions, and the confidence to articulate and defend those judgements to senior audiences.
  • Genuine ability to work independently, managing your own priorities, owning your client relationships, and delivering consistently without requiring close direction, combined with the collaborative instincts to be a valued and active team member.
  • Experience using AI tools to enhance analytical work, with an appetite to go further and a practical understanding of where automation adds value and where human expertise remains essential.
  • Excellent verbal communication: you are comfortable in the room with senior stakeholders, confident in Q&A, and able to adapt your style to different audiences without losing substance.
  • Highly organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage a portfolio of demanding client relationships alongside content commitments and internal collaboration.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
