    Description

    The Senior Research Analyst (Private Equity) is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, recommending, and monitoring private equity investment managers across buyout, growth equity, venture capital, secondaries, and co-investment strategies. The role develops relationships with current and prospective investment managers, partnering with senior team members to lead and support investment due diligence and present recommendations to the firm's Investment Committee and clients. The Senior Research Analyst also conducts market research, develops investment theses, supports portfolio construction, and contributes to thought leadership and education on private markets for clients and internal stakeholders.

    What You’ll Do / Position Responsibilities

    Manager Research, Due Diligence & Monitoring

    • Lead sourcing, due diligence, recommendation, and ongoing monitoring of private equity investment managers.
    • Conduct qualitative and quantitative investment analysis and present recommendations to the Investment Committee.
    • Serve as a primary relationship manager for assigned investment firms.
    • Partner with senior professionals to support manager selection, portfolio construction, and client deliverables.

    Asset Class Research and Content Development

    • Maintain expertise across private capital markets and industry trends.
    • Monitor investment manager performance, portfolio developments, and organizational changes; communicate key insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders and clients.
    • Produce research reports, investment recommendations, and market commentary.
    • Contribute to investment philosophy, portfolio construction, and educational content.
    • Represent the firm in meetings with investment managers and at industry events.

    Travel Requirements
    • Travel up to 10-15%, primarily for investment manager due diligence meetings, onsite visits, annual meetings, industry conferences, and client meetings.
    • Occasional overnight travel is required.
    What We Require / Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree required; CFA, CAIA, or MBA preferred.
    • 2–5 years of relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, consulting, institutional investment research, or a related field.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of private capital markets, including buyout, growth equity, venture capital, secondaries, and co-investment strategies.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present investment recommendations to internal committees and clients.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively across teams.

    • Ability to identify and resolve or appropriately escalate complex issues with minimal guidance.
    • Experienced in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint with strong attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Engage collaboratively with clients, investment teams and peers.
    • Prioritize effectively and decisively across complex teams and competing priorities.
