Job Title: Senior Research Analyst - WFTV Orlando

Position Overview

WFTV/WRDQ, the CMG Duopoly in Orlando, Florida is looking for a talented Senior Research Analyst. This is a full-time position, and the candidate will provide relevant research data, analysis, and support to our national and local advertising teams. The job of Senior Research Analyst requires excellent written, verbal and math skills, and strong computer skills. The ability to analyze and present research results to staff, clients and management will be paramount in this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Track, analyze and produce daily, weekly, and monthly ratings reports and trends
  • Effectively position the primary and secondary data in the form of sales support pieces, custom sales presentations, qualitative analysis and comparagraphs
  • Audit the log for daily NSI reporting of program changes (E-Names)
  • Maintain the NSI Overnight ratings database
  • Update and maintain Avail Inventory in Wide Orbit Media Sales creating program estimates and interfacing with Locality
  • Utilize Digital Research Tools (Google Analytics, Tableau) to analyze and produce effective presentations and support material for the Digital Sales Team
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of all primary and secondary research products, their application and software. (These products include but are not limited to: NSI Arianna, Nielsen Local Television View (NLTV), Wide Orbit Media Sales, Marshall Marketing, Vivvix Reports, Cross Sell, Google Analytics )
  • Must demonstrate strong command of Microsoft Office products including Power Point, and Excel. (The ability to build and maintain pivot tables is preferred)
  • Strong understanding of sales process and the ability to make occasional sales call presentations
  • Oversee various research related projects
  • Assist the Regional Research Director to provide each department in the station with outstanding research services.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree in Communications, Marketing, Business or relevant field required.
  • Creativity and self-motivation a must, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Strong time-management skills required.
  • Good Writing Skills
  • Advanced skill in Excel, and PowerPoint required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience working in media marketing, market research, or a high level sales support role is preferred.
