Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable Senior Research Associate I to join our dedicated Neuroscience research team. As a Senior Research Associate I, you will be a key player in executing experiments to support target discovery and validation for Parkinson's disease. This role is well-suited for a candidate with a passion for scientific exploration.

You are a motivated and detail-oriented scientist who enjoys hands-on laboratory work and contributing within a multidisciplinary research environment. You bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to learning, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. You are a collaborative team member with strong interpersonal and communication skills and a commitment to high-quality, well-documented scientific work.

What You'll Do

  • Execute biochemical and cell-based assays to support Parkinson's disease drug discovery.
  • Conduct experiments using a variety of cell culture, molecular biology, and high-content imaging techniques.
  • Participate in troubleshooting experiments, optimizing protocols, and addressing technical challenges to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.
  • Maintain organized and comprehensive records of experiments, results, and protocols in adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the maintenance, procurement, and inventory management of laboratory equipment and supplies.
  • Uphold a culture of safety by strictly following laboratory protocols and promoting best practices in accordance with regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree with 2 years of experience or Bachelor's degree with 4 years of related experience in Biology, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated excellence in cell culture techniques. Experience working with primary neuronal cultures, iPSC-derived cells, and/or complex co-culture model systems is a plus.
  • Demonstrated excellence in standard cell biology, biochemistry, and protein detection and quantification techniques (such as ELISA and MSD).
  • Experience with high-content imaging analysis (Harmony, ImageJ, MetaXpress).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate research findings effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Highly self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn new experimental and analytical approaches.
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
  • Willingness to play a role in day-to-day activities supporting general laboratory tasks.
  • Experience handling 96- and 384-well assay formats and/or automated liquid handling systems (e.g., Bravo, EL406) is a plus.

The expected salary range for this role is $100,000 to $120,750 depending on skills, competency, and the market demand for your expertise.
