Job Title Senior Research Associate

The Whitney Laboratory is looking for an experienced immunologist to lead the flow cytometry assay development and in vivo immune monitoring activities across all projects. The successful candidate will play a critical role in data generation for translational research projects supporting the development of novel strategiesassayssystemsanalyses.

Primary Responsibilities

Independently design validate and apply immunophenotyping and functional flow cytometry panels customized to align with project goals.

Independently generate analyze and interpret flow cytometry and other complex data sets and prepare and present presentations to the internal team.

Independently operate cell sorters and analyzers including instrument set-up compensation control preparation PMT voltage adjustments experimental settings selection sample collection sorting troubleshooting and cleaning.

Participate in upstream sample processing for flow cytometry analysis and sorting including blood processing and tissue dissociation.

Develop and refine immunology and flow cytometry SOPs as procedures and goals evolve and improve.

Remain current with evolving cytometry advances and their application to drug discovery proactively explore avenues to improve workflows integrate new technology and improve data quality.

Manage inventory for materials reagents and consumables for flow cytometry and immunology functions.

Maintain timely and detailed documentation of experimental protocols execution data collection analysis and interpretation.
