
The Senior Resident Engineer will lead on field operations ensuring design intent is met with precision, integrity, and excellence across highway, bridge, water, transit, and power projects.Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documentsMaintain accurate daily records of the contractor's daily activities and the work performed, and of the labor, equipment, and materials usedReview construction materials for contract complianceTrack quantities and develop pay estimates for acceptanceAttend and/or chair construction progress meetingsConduct observations of the installation and acceptance testing of completed equipment and systemsIdentify nonconforming work, develop project punchlists, and maintain until correctedDevelop record documentation for engineer review/acceptanceAssist with project audit/closeoutWork under general supervision of a Design Project ManagerSupervise and direct the activities of junior Resident Project Representatives and Construction Inspectors, testing services, and subconsultantsPreferred Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certificationExperience with Department of Transportation projectsAbility to interpret construction schedulesAbility to problem solve and provide possible solutions to the engineerRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or combination of education and relevant experienceA minimum of 5 years progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projectsMust have a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing constructionMust possess the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documentsMust be able to work in a team environmentMust be computer literate; experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction packagesMust have excellent verbal and written communication skillsActive participation in an employee‑owned culture is requiredCurrent sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available for this positionCompensation range: $88,900.00 to $127,000.00Location: Phoenix, AZ (Primary); other locations: Tucson, AZ; Albuquerque, NM; Las Vegas, NV.Position type: Full‑time, Regular Employee Status.We consider all qualified applicants, regardless of criminal histories, arrest and conviction records.
