A Day in the Life

You start your morning by checking your schedule on your tablet in your driveway—yes, you take your newer, well-equipped truck home. Your first call in Newton is a heat pump that isn’t keeping up. You listen, observe, and diagnose. You explain what you found in plain language, present clear options without pressure, and complete a quality repair. In the afternoon, you handle a boiler tune-up in Wellesley, flag a part nearing failure, and help the homeowner plan ahead. Every visit ends with a tidy workspace and a confident customer.

What You’ll Work On

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems with precision and care.
• Communicate findings and options clearly; guide homeowners to the best decision for them.
• Perform high-quality repairs and maintenance, and spot potential issues early.
• Represent Yellow Dog professionally in every home.

What You Bring

• 5+ years in residential HVAC service and/or installation.
• Strong troubleshooting skills; capable across furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, mini-splits, and traditional A/C.
• Commitment to craftsmanship and cleanliness.
• Clear, respectful communication with homeowners; outstanding customer care.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.
• EPA 608 certification.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Curiosity and drive to keep learning.

Experienced installers looking to transition into service are encouraged to apply. If you’re confident in both service and install, we especially want to meet you. Master HVAC Technicians receive special consideration and may see additional opportunities.
