Senior Retirement Analyst

Join trak group in partnering with a growing client seeking a Senior Retirement Analyst to support the administration of qualified and non-qualified retirement plans. This role will provide hands-on support for defined benefit pension, 401(k), profit sharing, deferred compensation, and other retirement programs, while coordinating regulatory reporting, vendor activities, system changes, and daily plan processing.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and analytical with experience in retirement plan administration and the ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
Support the development, implementation, and administration of qualified and non-qualified retirement plans.
Administer defined benefit pension, 401(k), defined contribution profit sharing, deferred compensation, and other non-qualified plans.
Manage daily retirement plan processing and provide backup support to Retirement Specialists.
Complete and coordinate required regulatory reporting, participant communications, and plan mailings within established deadlines.
Coordinate with retirement plan vendors and internal business partners to support plan administration.
Monitor retirement processes for accuracy, compliance, and timely completion.
Gather and document business requirements for system and process changes impacting retirement programs.
Develop test matrices, test scenarios, and validation requirements for retirement-related system changes.
Execute user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate system functionality before implementation.
Provide technical and consultative support to Retirement Specialists.
Research and resolve retirement plan administration and processing issues.
Maintain accurate plan documentation and records.
Work independently within established guidelines and escalate complex issues to management when appropriate.
Provide regular updates to management regarding retirement plan activities, issues, and projects.
Experience administering qualified and/or non-qualified retirement plans.
Knowledge of retirement programs such as 401(k), defined benefit pension, defined contribution, profit sharing, and/or deferred compensation plans.
Experience with day-to-day retirement plan processing and administration.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet regulatory and operational deadlines.
Experience coordinating with third-party retirement plan vendors and internal business partners.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret plan requirements and accurately execute established processes.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while knowing when to escalate issues.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience supporting both qualified and non-qualified retirement plans.
Knowledge of retirement plan regulatory reporting and compliance requirements.
Experience gathering business requirements for HR or benefits system changes.
User acceptance testing (UAT) experience, including developing test matrices and scenarios.
Experience providing technical support or guidance to retirement or benefits team members.
Background working in a complex corporate benefits or retirement administration environment.
