We are seeking an exceptionally senior RF/Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems Engineer to serve as a principal technical authority supporting the Electronic Warfare Branch and our mission in direct support of the U.S. Army Research Laboratory (ARL). This individual will design, develop, and test radio frequency (RF) and microwave systems architectures, components, and products while providing expert-level engineering leadership across the full system life cycle. The ideal candidate brings decades of experience in Army C5ISR, Electromagnetic Warfare (EW), and system-of-systems engineering, and will act as an organizational spokesperson and senior advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research and applications.

This role is best suited for a recognized subject matter expert capable of shaping advanced technological concepts, resolving complex integration challenges, and guiding development from concept through fielding.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and test radio frequency (RF) and/or microwave systems architectures, components, circuits, and products, including antenna design (reflector and array systems), frequency synthesizers, transmitters, and receivers.
  • Provide expert-level engineering support for Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) integration, program acquisition, and advanced research and development efforts in support of ARL.
  • Lead system and System-of-Systems (SoS) engineering and architecture development activities across all life cycle phases: concept development, requirements definition, system design, integration & test, and fielding.
  • Direct the development, specification, and evaluation of RF interference mitigation, spectrum compatibility, and EW solutions (e.g., tunable filters, interference cancellation techniques) to resolve conflicts between EW and spectrum-dependent systems.
  • Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts; contribute to the development of new principles and concepts advancing the organizations EW and RF capabilities.
  • Lead Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) efforts and support configuration management strategy, planning, and control board activities.
  • Guide advanced technological ideas from concept through final product, ensuring technical rigor, interoperability, and engineering standards compliance.
  • Facilitate cross-organization synchronization and collaboration across PEOs/PMs, Joint Staff, Army Futures Command (AFC), and related stakeholders.
  • Provide critical input for acquisition activities, including development of program documentation, milestone objectives, acquisition planning, contract management, and program re-solicitation support.
  • Serve as organization spokesperson on advanced projects/programs and act as a senior advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications.
