As an experienced Healthcare Risk Manager, the Senior Risk Manager assists in planning, directing and coordinating risk management programs for Providence Regional Medical Center Everett (PRMCE). Oversees selected programs to ensure that risks are identified, analyzed and controlled. Responsible for overseeing incidents and claims issues, including investigation of incidents, loss control & mitigation, and support to litigation. Serves as a resource to physicians and staff in clarifying and resolving risk management issues. As a strong public speaker, assists with scheduled and ad hoc Risk Management education presentations.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor''s Degree in Business Administration, Insurance or Risk Management, or healthcare related clinical degree. Or Six years healthcare risk management experience with, at least, two years experience in the role of Risk Manager in a healthcare environment.
  • 4 years of experience in healthcare Risk Management and/or Patient Safety.
  • 3 years of working in a medico-legal environment with understanding of claims management principles.
  • 3 years of working experience coaching and coordinating disclosures and resolutions of unexpected outcomes.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor''s Degree in RN Degree
  • Certified Professional in Health Care Risk Management (CPHRM)

The successful candidate''s placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
