As a Senior Risk Manager, you will serve a pivotal role in advancing Amazon"s sanctions compliance program through risk evaluation and mitigation efforts. You will collaborate across teams to assess sanctions-related risks and review existing processes and controls. You will ensure that identified issues are properly documented, monitored, and resolved in accordance with regulatory standards and industry benchmarks. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the quality and uniformity of sanctions risk tracking, while working alongside other teams to strengthen Amazon"s broader sanctions compliance framework.

Key job responsibilities

Manage and identify sanctions and screening program risks across Amazon.

Serve as a subject matter expert on sanctions compliance, providing guidance on methodology, processes, and control frameworks.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure sanctions controls, processes, and risks are accurately assessed against regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Document, track, and prioritize remediation based on compliance impact to enhance the overall sanctions program.

Evaluate risk assessments, rationales, and narratives to confirm alignment with regulatory expectations and industry best practices.

Monitor and report to leadership and regulated board oversight bodies on risk status, from initial identification through final resolution.

Provide subject matter expertise to enhance risk tracking practices, ensuring processes and documentation align with industry standards and regulatory expectations.
