Position Summary

• Support enterprise backup, recovery, and data protection services.
• Implement, administer, monitor, and maintain Rubrik backup solutions across:
  • On-premises environments.
  • Cloud environments.
  • Hybrid environments.
• Provide technical expertise for backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the Rubrik backup environment.
• Configure backup policies, retention schedules, and recovery requirements.
• Monitor:
  • Backup jobs.
  • System health.
  • Storage capacity.
  • Platform performance.
• Perform backup restoration and recovery testing.
• Troubleshoot backup and recovery issues.
• Support Rubrik software upgrades and maintenance activities.
• Perform vulnerability remediation for the Rubrik environment.
• Implement and onboard new workloads into the backup platform, including:
  • Servers.
  • Applications.
  • Databases.
  • Cloud workloads.
• Support migration of workloads from existing backup solutions to Rubrik.
• Collaborate with:
  • Infrastructure teams.
  • Storage teams.
  • Cloud teams.
  • Security teams.
  • Application teams.
• Investigate and resolve backup-related incidents and operational issues.
• Support disaster recovery and business continuity requirements.
• Ensure backup and recovery solutions meet enterprise data protection requirements.

Documentation, Knowledge Transfer & Handover

• Create and maintain:
  • Solution design documents.
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Runbooks.
  • Support documentation.
• Document backup architecture, policies, retention requirements, and recovery procedures.
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions for operations and support teams.
• Support Transition to Operations (TTO) activities.
• Participate in operational readiness reviews.
• Provide post-implementation support.
• Ensure successful handover of services to Operations.
• Ensure all project deliverables, documentation, and support processes are completed before project closure.

Mandatory Skills

• 7+ years of Backup & Recovery Administration experience.
• Hands-on experience with Rubrik Backup & Recovery solutions.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Backup concepts.
  • Recovery concepts.
  • Disaster recovery.
  • Data protection.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, VMware, and enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Experience implementing and supporting enterprise backup solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Strong technical documentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience with Rubrik Cloud Vault.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure.
