Transdev in Boston, MA is seeking a Senior Safety Administrator for its Boston Public Schools transportation contract. The Senior Safety Administrator is responsible for monitoring and enforcing safety measures, policies, and requirements determined by the company and pertinent laws. The selected candidate will also supervise tasks including completing regular safety checks (including job site inspections along with employee inspections), looking for unsafe work conditions, helping with safety projects, and ensuring that all safety recommendations are taken into effect.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining the flow of the department and making sure the safety department is in compliance at all times. Ensures contract compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and company regulations; ensures that related record keeping and reporting requirements are met and maintained; provides support in implementing the approved recommendations.
Ensures that admin is adequately trained and understands and executes on safety and security standards. Delegates as needed.
Responsible for the return-to-work process. Maintains contact with injured employees and the insurance carrier for the duration of the claims.
Works with adjusters and other staff from our insurance agencies regarding accident, incident, and injury preventability, fault, investigation, and other follow up steps as needed, with direction and support from the management team.
Compiles all relevant employee data and creates a DQ file for all new hires.
Regularly reviews files and removes files of terminated employees and places them in the appropriate storage.
Follows-up with the appropriate individuals on missing information and reports any inconsistencies to the Senior Safety Manager - Health and Compliance or Human Resources Department.
Assists in audits of DQ files by collecting documentation as needed. Follows-up to obtain missing paperwork if applicable.
Manages electronic and hard copy files.
Maintains a continuous current database of State and City of Boston School Bus Driver Training and Annual Re-certifications, ensuring that Drivers are scheduled for and notified of their training requirements in accordance with the drivers' Collective Bargaining Agreement and State/City mandates.
Participates in quarterly claim reviews. Assists with managing collision activities. Guides and controls direction of claims.
Maintains OSHA logs and reporting.
Maintains confidentiality of all information.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
A valid driver's license.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Three (3) years of general office or file management experience.
Dispatching or supervisory experience is preferred.
Excellent communication skills with ability to adapt to changing situations and listen to feedback.
Ability to adapt and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work under pressure.
