GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Senior Sales & Event Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the resort's Group Sales and Events departments by cultivating client relationships, coordinating day and overnight groups, weddings and special events, contributing to business development initiatives, and driving exceptional guest experiences from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (additional duties may be assigned as business needs require):
General Key Responsibilities
Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective and existing guests through phone, email, and in-person communication, from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with guests to encourage repeat business. Conduct professional site tours for prospective business. Prepare and process all documents for business from initial proposals through final billing Coordinate and collaborate with multiple resort departments to ensure accurate communication, seamless event execution, and an exceptional guest experience. Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes, enhance the guest experience, and contribute to departmental sales and operational success.
Primary Responsibilities:
Events
Manage event inquiries from initial contact through the planning process by preparing proposals, contracts, timelines, and other event documentation Coordinate weddings, banquets, meetings, and special events from initial inquiry through final execution. Coordinate with clients and resort departments to coordinate all event details, ensuring expectations are met and events are executed successfully. Oversee event setup and provide on-site coordination, including directing ceremonies, managing event timelines, and proactively resolving issues as they arise. Complete post-event billing and ensure all financial details are accurate and finalized. Assist with the marketing and promotion of the event division through promotional campaigns, trade and bridal shows, social media Coordination and other outreach initiatives to increase brand awareness and drive bookings. Coordinate and manager housing blocks associated with events
Group Sales
Support Group and Corporate Sales by managing assigned accounts, cultivating relationships with new and existing clients, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the sales and booking process. Review and coordinate group agendas, itineraries, and event details for accuracy while identifying and resolving scheduling or operational conflicts. Prepare correspondence, contracts, agendas, and other group communications as needed, particularly when clerical support is unavailable. Participate in sales meetings by contributing updates, ideas, and strategic recommendations. Lead on-site coordinator for assigned groups, acting as the primary liaison between clients and resort departments to ensure successful guest experience.
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
This position requires a flexible schedule based on business needs and seasonal demand. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required during peak event seasons. The ability to work extended hours as needed to ensure the successful execution of events is essential.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Prior experience in sales, events or hospitality preferred but not required- training provided
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY
To apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Strong organizational and time management skills.
