Senior SAP Change & Release Manager (Remote)
We are looking for a Senior SAP Change & Release Manager for a global aerospace company. In this role, you will Manage the end-to-end SAP change and release lifecycle, including release scheduling, SAP transport management, deployment coordination across DEV/QA/Production, risk management, and go/no-go decisions while coordinating SAP teams, developers, Basis, and business stakeholders.
This is a 12-month contract (extensions likely), 40-hour-per-week (4-day 10-hour shifts per week) role, this is a remote role in the US.
This is a W-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and 401K are offered.
Responsibilities:
- We are seeking an SAP Change & Release Manager to help oversee the end-to-end change & release management and deployment lifecycle across our SAP landscape.
- In this role, you will help govern the implementation of the release calendar, ensure compliance with best practices, and minimize operational risk during deployments.
- You will act as the key liaison between SAP functional teams, Basis, developers, and business stakeholders.
- Great candidates will have a good understanding of complexity ERP portfolios, how it interacts with different parts of an organization as well as applications and team structures.
Requirements:
Must eb an US citizen
- 6+ years of experience as Senior SAP Change & Release Manager.
- Bachelors Dggree
- Release Governance: Define, manage, and communicate the SAP release schedule across development, quality assurance, and production environments for routine, emergency, and major project deployments. Responsible for communication and coordination of scheduling, planning, and controlling the software's delivery process for all 1LMX ERP transportable code and configuration for SAP and Third Party Tools hosted internally and externally of Lockheed Martin. This includes Major, Standalone, Standard, Emergency and Planned release types that all have their own set of timing, planning requirements, governance, and overhead coordination. Responsible for communication and coordination to BA reps, teams, and leadership on the planning, testing, tracking, process, changes, and risks as it relates to Major, Standalone, Standard, Emergency and planned releases. This includes cross-review and analysis of on-going parallel releases, architectural and engineering changes, multiple environment deployments, multiple testing environments, and changes in direction from both a portfolio and program level.
- Communications: Strong communication skills that allow for properly assessing and neutralizing situations of varying intensity with other portfolios and leadership. Responsible for communication and coordination to BA reps, teams, and leadership on the planning, testing, tracking, process, changes, and risks as it relates to Major, Standalone, Standard, Emergency and planned releases. This includes cross-review and analysis of on-going parallel releases, architectural and engineering changes, multiple environment deployments, multiple testing environments, and changes in direction from both a portfolio and program level. Responsible for communication and coordination to BA reps, teams, and leadership on the planning, testing, tracking, process, changes, and risks as it relates to Major, Standalone, Standard, Emergency and planned releases. This includes cross-review and analysis of on-going parallel releases, architectural and engineering changes, multiple environment deployments, multiple testing environments, and changes in direction from both a portfolio and program level.
- Coordination: Coordinate with dedicated technical team members across the change and release organization to ensure smooth release deliveries to production. This will include release boundaries (checkpoints) for health checks, and understanding the roles and responsibilities of all individuals involved in the change and release process to pull for different requirement scenarios that relate to release management including go/no-go decisions.
- Process & Documentation: Assist with the development of, communication, and coordination of a centralized Release Management/Transport Management process of all release types. This is including but not limited to maintaining all documentation that relates to change and release management , important communications, release calendars, governance board documentation, and process documentation for all types of users.
- Transport Management: Oversee SAP transport sequencing, dependency checks, import logs, and risk mitigations to prevent transport overwrite (ToC) and dual-maintenance issues.
- Board Facilitation: Chair or actively contribute to Change and Release Manager Board meetings, evaluating business risk, downtime requirements, and rollback plans.
- Incident & Conflict Resolution: Work incidents / trouble tickets, coordinate plans, track issues, and lead root-cause analysis for release-related incidents.

Compensation: $90/hr - $100/hr
