Senior SAP FICO Business/Data Analyst

We are seeking a Senior SAP FICO Business/Data Analyst Contractor with strong SAP and cloud data experience to support enterprise data modernization initiatives. This role will be responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, documenting current and future-state processes, performing gap analysis, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable Cloud Data Lake capabilities on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

The ideal candidate will possess deep skills in SAP FICO business processes, enterprise data analysis, cloud technologies, and business process transformation. This individual will work closely with Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, and Data Engineering teams to ensure successful delivery of cloud-based analytics and data integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

" Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for Cloud Data Lake initiatives and enterprise reporting solutions.
" Assess current-state (AS-IS) business processes and design future-state (TO-BE) workflows leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and SaaS technologies.
" Conduct detailed gap analysis between existing SAP capabilities, business requirements, and target cloud-data architecture.
" Collaborate with Data Engineering, SAP functional teams, and business stakeholders to define scalable data integration and transformation solutions.
" Translate complex business requirements into functional specifications, process flows, data mappings, and user stories.
" Support enterprise data initiatives involving Finance, Sales, and Supply Chain domains.
" Analyze and model business processes to improve operational efficiency and data accessibility.
" Facilitate stakeholder workshops, requirement sessions, and process review meetings.
" Prioritize business requests and partner with project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
" Validate data quality, reporting requirements, and business rules within cloud-based data environments.
" Support testing activities including UAT planning, test case development, and defect resolution.
" Ensure alignment between SAP FICO processes and cloud analytics/data lake strategies.

Required Qualifications

" 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or Data Analyst in enterprise environments.
" Strong experience with SAP FICO modules and related financial business processes.
" Hands-on experience supporting Cloud Data Lake or cloud-based analytics platforms.
" Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and SaaS-based solutions.
" Strong understanding of enterprise data flows, data mapping, and data integration concepts.
" Proven ability to perform business process analysis, process redesign, and gap assessments.
" Experience working with Finance, Sales, and Supply Chain business stakeholders.
" Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
" Experience working in Agile or hybrid project delivery environments.

Preferred Qualifications

" Experience with SAP S/4HANA environments.
" Exposure to cloud data technologies such as BigQuery, Dataflow, or ETL/ELT pipelines.
" Knowledge of enterprise reporting and BI tools.
" Prior experience supporting enterprise data transformation or modernization initiatives.
" Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
