Job Title - Senior SAP MM Functional Consultant
Work location - Allen Park, Michigan 48101 ( Client location ) - Onsite
Travel required - The candidate must be ready to travel anywhere within US client locations 1 2 times every 3 months for 2 7 days.
The company will cover the travel and accommodation expenses.
Minimum years of experience needed in the required skills- 8 to 10 years
Minimum over all work experience required - 10 plus years
Domain - Automotive industry is preferred
Any certification required - SAP MM Certification preferred
Mandatory skills required - 8 to 10 years of SAP MM Experience

- Work with Procurement, Materials Management, Inventory Management, Manufacturing and Logistics stakeholders to understand business requirements.
- Analyze current-state processes and support definition and validation of future-state SAP S/4HANA processes.
- Bridge communication between business users, SAP functional consultants and the System Integrator.
- SAP MM Functional Process Support
- Provide business and functional expertise across Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Purchasing, Inventory Management and Material Management processes.
- Support processes covering purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipt, goods issue, stock transfers, physical inventory and invoice-related procurement scenarios.
- Review proposed SAP solutions against business requirements and identify functional gaps.
Requirements & Solution Design
- Conduct and participate in business workshops for requirement gathering and process validation.
- Document business requirements, process flows, business rules and functional requirements.
- Review functional specifications and proposed enhancements/interfaces from a business-process perspective.
Master Data & Data Migration
- Support validation of MM-related master and transactional data required for the S/4HANA implementation.
- Work with business and data-migration teams on material, supplier and purchasing-related data.
- Participate in data cleansing, mapping, mock-load validation and reconciliation activities.
- Cross-Functional Integration
- Validate integration of SAP MM with PP/PPDS, EWM, SD, FI/CO, QM and other relevant S/4HANA processes.
- Support end-to-end scenarios spanning procurement, manufacturing, warehouse operations, inventory and finance.
- Coordinate resolution of cross-functional process and integration issues.
Testing & Defect Management
- Develop and review business test scenarios and test cases.
- Participate in functional testing, System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing.
- Perform business validation of results, document defects and coordinate with SAP teams through resolution and retesting.
- Support business sign-off for MM processes.
Business Readiness & Training
- Support preparation of business-process documentation, work instructions, training materials and job aids.
- Conduct SAP S/4HANA MM process familiarization and training for business users.
- Support business users during testing and deployment readiness activities.
- Cutover & Go-Live
- Participate in MM cutover planning and business-readiness activities.
- Support validation of procurement, inventory and master-data readiness before go-live.
- Coordinate business validation activities during deployment.
- Support business users during go-live and hypercare.
- Analyze business-process issues and coordinate resolution with SAP functional, technical and integration teams.
- Help transition stabilized processes to the operational/support organization.
- Collaborate with business SMEs, procurement teams, plant users, SAP consultants and implementation partners.
- Communicate business requirements, dependencies, risks, issues and decisions to project stakeholders.
- Support organizational change-management and user-adoption activities associated with SAP S/4HANA transformation.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA MM / Materials Management
- Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay and Inventory Management
- Knowledge of purchasing, purchase requisitions/orders, goods movements, stock transfers and physical inventory
- Understanding of MM master-data concepts and procurement processes
- Good understanding of integration with SAP PP/PPDS, EWM, SD, FI/CO and QM
- SAP S/4HANA implementation experience preferred
- Experience in requirements gathering, workshops, process design and business-process documentation
- Experience with SIT, UAT, defect management, data migration, cutover and hypercare
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Manufacturing/automotive industry experience is desirable
