Senior Scientific Writer

We are recruiting for a Senior Scientific Writer to join a growing life sciences organization. This is a 100% remote position, and candidates may live and work anywhere in the United States. The role will support scientific publications, grant development, technical reporting, and other communications focused on preclinical pain research and drug development.

Working closely with scientists, business development, and executive leadership, you will turn complex in vitro and in vivo pharmacology data into clear, accurate scientific content supporting publications, funding initiatives, and company growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed scientific journals

• Write grant proposals, technical reports, review articles, and white papers

• Interpret and organize preclinical in vivo and in vitro research data

• Prepare scientific figures, tables, graphical abstracts, and supporting materials

• Create conference abstracts, posters, presentations, and related scientific communications

• Manage manuscript revisions, co-author input, and responses to peer-review feedback

Required Qualifications

• PhD or Master's degree in Neuroscience, Pharmacology, or a related life science field

• Strong scientific writing and editing experience within pain research or pain pharmacology

• Ability to interpret complex preclinical datasets and communicate findings clearly

• Experience developing scientific manuscripts and technical reports

• Knowledge of in vivo and in vitro pharmacology studies

• Experience preparing NIH SBIR/STTR, DoD, foundation, or similar research grants

• Understanding of FDA drug development pathways, preferably involving pain therapeutics

• Experience with statistical/data analysis tools such as GraphPad Prism, R, SAS, or JMP

• Strong attention to scientific accuracy, data integrity, and detail

This is a fully remote U.S.-based opportunity with no requirement to live near a company office.
