Position Overview
FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and innovative Scientist with a background in Immunology or Intestinal Cell Biology to join our Applications Team. This group drives the identification, development, and deployment of technical assay solutions leveraging iPSC-derived cell types for life science research. The role emphasizes complex in vitro models and novel approach methodologies (NAMs). The ideal candidate will independently design and execute experiments, analyze and interpret data, establish robust protocols, and translate scientific insights into commercially viable solutions.

Job Description
Essential Job Functions
Design, develop, and optimize cell-based assays to assess the functional activity or performance of iPSC-derived cell types with minimal oversight. Generate and present high-quality data and visual content to support sales enablement and product marketing initiatives for iCell products. Maintain detailed and accurate experimental records, including lab notebooks, technical protocols, and comprehensive reports. Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, sales, and product teams to troubleshoot existing assays and develop enhanced assay content. Evaluate new technologies and instrumentation for internal application or potential outsourcing partnerships. Demonstrate expert knowledge and judgment in experimental techniques, analyses, principles, and concepts in support of project objectives and obtaining results. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support additional projects as assigned. Review and stay informed on research performed in the field by reading scientific journals, attending webinars, classes, and/or conferences where appropriate. Other job functions as assigned.
