Job Summary:
The Senior Scientist Bioscience will independently design, direct, and execute research experiments within the bioscience discipline. This role supports early oncology initiatives through hands-on laboratory work and cross-functional collaboration, contributing to patient-centric model systems that inform drug development decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Initiate, direct, and perform research experiments with minimal supervision
Develop and implement experimental strategies aligned to research objectives
Conduct ex vivo tumor processing and microscopy-based tissue characterization
Perform multiplex cytokine assays (MSD) and other cell-based assays
Maintain and apply strong aseptic techniques in laboratory environments
Collaborate across cross-functional teams to support early oncology research
Train and mentor less experienced scientists
Analyze experimental data and contribute to scientific insights and reporting
Support projects that drive innovation in drug development
Required Experience:
Strong laboratory experience with aseptic technique and sterile sample handling
Experience in cell culture and cell-based assays
Hands-on experience with tissue culture and sterile processing
Background in immunology with practical lab experience
Experience with in vitro immune assays such as ELISA, FACS, or protein characterization
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Experience gained through industry roles, internships, co-ops, or significant lab work
Nice-to-Have Experience:
Experience with multiplex assays (MSD/ELISA)
Flow cytometry expertise
Tissue processing and microscopy-based analysis
Experience with proteomics or mass spectrometry
Prior experience in oncology or translational research environments
