At QIAGEN, every day is an opportunity to make a real-life impact. Join us, grow with us, and together, lets shape the future of biological discovery.

About the Opportunity

Join QIAGEN Digital Insights as you help pharmaceutical and biotech partners unlock the power of biomedical knowledge graphs, omics data, and AI-driven discovery. In this customer-facing data science role, you translate complex research questions into actionable analytical workflows, build compelling scientific narratives, and shape how customers realize value from QIAGEN's data solutions. You collaborate closely with Sales, Field Application Scientists, Product, Engineering, and Marketing - all while influencing outcomes without direct product development responsibilities.

Your Tasks Include:

• Partner with pharma and biotech customers to define high-value scientific and data use cases leveraging QIAGEN's Biomedical Knowledge Base and related technologies. • Translate research goals into clear analytical frameworks, workflows, and implementation paths. • Prepare and deliver technical demos, workshops, and proof-of-concept discussions during pre-sales engagements. • Capture and refine customer requirements to inform product prioritization and data delivery. • Create impactful documentation, visualizations, and presentations that clearly articulate scientific and business outcomes. • Collaborate with internal teams - including Product Development, Engineering, Content Curation, and Marketing - to translate customer insights into product improvements and consistent messaging. • Develop scientific collateral such as use case summaries, case studies, and white papers; represent QIAGEN at conferences, webinars, and customer meetings.

Your Profile

PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, or related biomedical field, or MS with equivalent industry experience.

Experience engaging with pharma or biotech customers in data-driven, scientific, or pre-sales settings.

Proficiency in Python, R, or related languages for data analysis.

Strong understanding of biomedical/omic data structures, network biology, and knowledge graphs; familiarity with graph queries (e.g., Cypher/Neo4j) is an advantage.

Exposure to LLMs or AI-enabled discovery tools is a plus.

Excellent communication and storytelling abilities, with a proven ability to simplify complex concepts for varied audiences.

Collaborative mindset and comfort working with sales, field science, product, and engineering teams.

US-based, remote role with up to 15% travel (East Coast preferred).

The estimated base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000. Compensation will be based on the candidate's experience, skills, geographic location, and other job-related factors. In addition to base salary, we offer a total compensation package that includes a bonus plan and generous benefits.

What We Offer

• Bonus/Commission • Local benefits • Referral Program • Volunteer Day • Internal Academy (QIALearn) • Employee Assistance Program • Hybrid work (conditional to your role)
