Expertise in underwater technology, acoustic science, electronics, sonar processing, AI-driven systems, and Navy-related technology is highly valued.
Key functions include managing and steering innovative maritime projects, guiding strategic progress within the department, and crafting high-impact proposals for groundbreaking maritime technology initiatives. You'll lead multidisciplinary teams tackling intricate system designs, adhering to stringent specifications. Additionally, foster growth and guide junior engineers in task execution and project management. This role demands active participation in the entire R&D cycle, from initial concepts to testing completed systems.
Candidates must possess a robust understanding of core principles in physics and mathematics. The position offers a unique chance to engage with industry experts across the organization, allowing significant contributions to various national security challenges.
Essential qualifications include an advanced degree in relevant technical fields, along with a strong engineering background, and success in developing inventive technology solutions. Preference will be given to those with over 10 years of relevant experience, particularly those adept at managing various technical programs.
