Job Summary

The client IT team is seeking a highly skilled Senior Scrum Master to join the Infrastructure Platform Engineering (InfraPE) team within the Platform Infrastructure and Enablement (PIE) Program. This role enables high-performing delivery across multiple teams by driving Scrum and Lean-Agile practices, supporting Kanban and flow-based delivery, partnering with teams to define objectives, owning and managing the feature backlog, bringing work into teams as needed to support engineering execution, removing impediments, improving delivery predictability across platform engineering work, and providing project management leadership for large team initiatives. The role also requires exceptional executive-level presentation and communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver clear readouts on status, risks, decisions, and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Multi-Team Enablement: Support more than one delivery team within InfraPE/PIE, adapting your approach to each team's maturity, constraints, and ways of working.
  • Agile Facilitation: Facilitate and continuously improve team ceremonies, ensuring they are effective, time-boxed, and outcome-focused.
  • Product Ownership: Work with teams and stakeholders to define objectives, own and manage the feature backlog, and bring work into teams as needed to support engineering priorities.
  • Project Management: Provide project management support for large team initiatives, including planning, coordination, milestone tracking, risk management, dependency management, and status reporting.
  • Kanban & Flow: Enable flow-based delivery through WIP limits, clear policies, cadence, and flow metrics such as cycle time and throughput.
  • Board & Work Management: Maintain strong board hygiene, work visualization, dependency tagging, and aging work review to improve transparency and execution.
  • Impediment Removal: Identify, manage, and remove impediments and blockers; escalate when needed while preserving team ownership and autonomy.
  • Delivery Predictability: Partner with engineering leadership to improve planning, forecasting, and delivery outcomes across iterations and flow-based work.
  • Metrics & Transparency: Use agile metrics and radiators to inform decisions, communicate progress, and drive improvement.
  • Dependency & Stakeholder Management: Coordinate across InfraPE and PIE teams to manage dependencies, align priorities, and communicate delivery status and risks.
  • Executive Readouts: Prepare and deliver concise executive-level updates on progress, risks, decisions, dependencies, and outcomes.
  • Program Ceremonies: Support PI Planning and quarterly Inspect & Adapt events, including readiness, risk/ROAM management, follow-ups, and action tracking.
  • Servant Leadership: Foster a safe, inclusive environment that encourages collaboration, constructive conflict, and accountability.
