  • Must have experience executing as a scrum master in a quickly changing environment and be flexible and adaptable
  • Must be motivated to drive change
  • Must be a SME in Scrum methodology (2020 scrum guide)
  • Advanced Jira knowledge preferred

As a Senior Scrum Master, you will be a coach and facilitator for one-to-many IT Teams. Your work will include coaching team members, capturing and reporting metrics, proactively eliminating barriers, and facilitating team delivery on sprint goals. You will work closely with your team and Product Manager/Owner and peer Scrum Masters to support Sprint and Release Planning, foster team self-awareness, encourage cross-training, decision-making and continuous improvements. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support a team. The team will work in a medium volume of priority efforts and understand their impact to the bottom line shortly after implementation.
  • Lead the scrum team in moderate complexity work streams. Oversee scrum process and coach the teams on how to use scrum and Agile practices and methodology.
  • Influence and collaborate with others to drive continuous improvement. Advocate for transparency, inspection, and adaption.
  • Lead daily scrums, sprint planning, sprint reviews, Agile Release Train (ART) sync meetings to ensure full team engagement. Manage interdependencies for your teams.
  • Partner with the Product Manager/Owners to support short and long-term release planning, and to keep work backlog healthy and prepared for execution.
  • Conduct demand and capacity planning models.
  • Track deliverables and maintain in partnership with Product Managers an IT forecasting roadmap.
  • Oversee and manage scope, budget, timeline, quality, and deliverables that support business goals.
  • Create a team environment that is open, non-judgmental, and trustworthy, while emphasizing problem solving.
  • Protect scrum team from outside interference during a sprint.
  • Remove impediments or guide team on how to remove impediments.
  • Assess team maturity with assistance and coach the team to higher levels of maturity at a sustainable pace.
  • Report on team progress each sprint through defined metrics.
  • Partner with product manager/owner and business stakeholders to ensure scrum team focus is on highest business value.
  • Act as liaison between clients and delivery teams, making sure that projects are successful and that teams are enabled to deliver excellence.
  • Participate in project estimation session with technical and business stakeholders.

Other Job Requirements

Responsibilities
4+ years' related experience in IT engineering and a minimum of 2 years' experience in Agile software development as a scrum master delivering medium complexity products to customers.
Servant leadership approach.
Strong presentation, influencing, and relationship management skills.
Knowledge of Agile principles and concepts.
Strong communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and team building skills.
Experience in risk and change management.
Ability to work with teams not co-located.
Experience working with multiple software development teams that diligently applied Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Ability to lead team in brainstorming, root cause analysis, or similar problem-solving techniques to assist in resolving issues, crafting solutions, or defining process improvement.
Ability to coach on Scrum/Agile processes and give feedback to individuals and teams.
Demonstrated planning and organizing skills.

Salary Range

Salary Minimum:
$83,890
Salary Maximum:
$142,610

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
