MANTECH seeks a motivated, career, and customer-oriented Senior Scrum Master to join our team. This is a remote position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Guide cross-functional development teams on how to self-organize, plan work effectively within sprints, and instill core Agile/Scrum/Kanban practices.

  • Assess the Scrum maturity of the team and organization, coaching personnel to higher levels of performance at a sustainable pace.

  • Remove operational impediments or guide the team to resolve issues by identifying and collaborating with the right stakeholders.

  • Partner closely with the Product Owner to manage the backlog, ensure stories are well-defined, and align team efforts with product vision.

  • Build a trusting, safe, and blame-free environment focused on collaborative problem-solving, execution, and continuous improvement.

  • Facilitate discussion, decision-making, conflict resolution, and internal/external communication to improve transparency and radiate information.

  • Provide comprehensive support to the team using a servant leadership style and leading by example.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline

  • 2+ years of experience in a Scrum Master role for a software development team.

  • Proven experience with Agile practices and frameworks, with a strong preference for the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

  • Active Scrum certification, such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM)

  • Demonstrated experience using Agile Project Management tools such as Jira, Rally, or VersionOne

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced certifications such as Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Release Train Engineer (RTE), or SAFe Advanced Scrum Master

  • Experience with modern software development practices such as Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Test-Driven Development (TDD), and automated testing

  • Familiarity with common software development technology stacks (e.g., Java, .NET, JavaScript frameworks) to facilitate technical discussions.

  • Experience working within IT Security, Application Security, System Architecture, or modern DevSecOps environments

  • Knowledge of federal Government directives, policies, publications, and regulations

Clearance Requirements:

  • An active Secret clearance is required

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.

  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $113,500.00-$176,500.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
