Senior SDET Automation Engineer (Java, Playwright, Selenium, TypeScript)

Our client, a IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a Senior SDET Automation Engineer (Java, Playwright, Selenium, TypeScript) for their Mclean, VA location.
 
Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, Java, and TypeScript
• Execute end-to-end (E2E), functional, and integration testing across frontend and backend systems
• Develop and run automated test scripts for UI and API validation
• Integrate automation suites within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Maven)
• Perform backend and database validation using SQL (DB2, PostgreSQL)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to ensure quality across all delivery stages
• Validate that software meets acceptance criteria and business requirements

• Target 6-10 year Senior SDET/Automation Engineers with strong Playwright + Java + Selenium + TypeScript + REST Assured expertise and CI/CD exposure (Jenkins/Maven). Financial services or mortgage domain candidates are preferred.
• Avoid profiles lacking Playwright hands-on experience, API automation, SQL/database validation, or candidates with primarily manual QA backgrounds.
