Senior SEC Reporting AccountantLocation: Manhattan, NY (4 days per week on site)Salary: $100,000 – $115,000Must HaveSEC Reporting10-K / 10-QGAAPBanking or CPA Firm ExperienceGeneral Ledger ReconciliationsAdvanced ExcelResponsibilitiesPrepare and review sections of SEC filings including 10‑K, 10‑Q, and other regulatory reportsProduce financial statements and MD&A support schedulesPerform technical accounting research related to GAAP and regulatory guidancePrepare journal entries for accruals, prepayments, and complex accounting areasPerform general ledger and sub‑ledger reconciliations and proofsCoordinate with internal departments for disclosure and reporting requirementsLiaise with external auditors, regulatory agencies, and internal audit teamsSupport regulatory reporting to banking agencies including FHFA and other regulatorsMaintain SOX compliance documentation and internal control supportAssist with internal reporting, investor relations support, and board reporting packagesBuild and maintain complex spreadsheets for financial reportingParticipate in month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processesSupport special projects assigned by Accounting leadershipRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting required, CPA preferred3 years in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) OR 4 years in banking financial reportingStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirementsExperience with SEC filings (10‑K, 10‑Q) strongly preferredAdvanced Excel / spreadsheet modeling skillsExperience with reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysisAbility to manage deadlines during close and SEC filing cyclesStrong written skills with experience drafting accounting memosAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities#J-18808-Ljbffr
