The Cyber Hunt & Respond Senior Engineer is a senior-level cybersecurity professional within the 24x7 Cyber Fusion Center responsible for advanced threat hunting and incident response activities. This role proactively identifies previously unknown threats by developing and testing threat-hunting hypotheses across diverse internal and external data sources while also leading the investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery efforts associated with cybersecurity incidents.
The position combines deep technical expertise in digital forensics and incident response with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to detect, investigate, and remediate sophisticated cyber threats. The engineer collaborates with security, technology, and business partners to identify data requirements, improve detection capabilities, and strengthen the organization''s overall security posture.
As a senior team member, the Cyber Hunt & Respond Senior Engineer serves as a technical consultant for complex cybersecurity issues, provides guidance and mentorship to peers, contributes to the development of advanced hunting and response methodologies, and delivers presentations and knowledge-sharing activities across the organization.
This role operates in a fast-paced environment defending the organization against advanced cyber threats and requires participation in on-call and after-hours response activities.
Incumbent will help facilitate and support on-call coverage, on a rotating basis
Work Location: Onsite/In-Office (may be based in Atlanta, GA or Zebulon, NC)
