Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Security Engineer for a Contract with a client in Jersey City, NJ. The ideal candidate will design and maintain highly available production systems while driving automation and reliability improvements across AWS and Linux environments.

Rate Range: $44/Hour to $45/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Senior Security Engineer Responsibilities include:

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and reliable production systems.

• Manage and support AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch services.

• Automate operational processes and infrastructure management using scripting and DevOps tools.

• Perform Linux server administration, troubleshooting, patching, and performance optimization.

• Monitor application and infrastructure health, respond to incidents, and conduct root cause analysis (RCA).

• Collaborate with development and support teams to improve system reliability, deployment processes, and CI/CD automation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 6-8 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), DevOps, Production Support, or Infrastructure Operations.

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Linux administration, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, automation scripting (Shell/Python), and cloud-based infrastructure management.

• Proven expertise in PostgreSQL/MySQL databases, monitoring and observability tools, incident management, and maintaining highly available production environments.

Pay Details: $44.00 to $45.00 per hour
