Technology Enhanced Classrooms

Responsibilities

  • Visit each assigned Classroom, ensuring windows are closed and locked, and doors are locked. Report any security problems or any suspicious activities to the FSU Police Department. Verify if someone or group should be in a Classroom outside of class hours against the list of Special Events. Serves as senior night-time leadership to other classroom security staff.
  • Turn off projectors, document camera lamps, presenters, and microphones, and log out anyone logged on to Classroom computers.
  • Supply markers and batteries to Classrooms. Scan Classroom for any cell phones, laptop computers, or other articles left behind at the end of the day. Return items to the main Classroom Support Office with a note where each of the items were found.
  • Performs detailed room checks on a weekly basis.
  • Perform related and miscellaneous duties as required. This position will drive a State Vehicle or Golf Cart on/off campus to FSU Department locations. Work Hours are Monday-Friday, afternoon through late night. This schedule may vary slightly each semester based on the schedule of classes. Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Performs duties in compliance with ITS policies, guidelines, and processes pertaining to support requests, work orders, project management, change management, and incident management. Appropriately utilizes associated tools in accordance with ITS standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency and one year experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to one year.
  • A valid Florida or Georgia drivers license, Class E Required, or the ability to obtain one.
