Senior SharePoint Developer and Visual Designer

Position Overview


We are seeking a Senior SharePoint Developer with a strong background in graphic design and user experience (UX) to drive the development, visual identity, and functionality of our internal and external sites. In this hybrid technical and creative role, you will bridge the gap between back-end SharePoint architecture and front-end visual storytelling—creating intuitively designed, highly functional sites, executive dashboards, and branded media products.


Key Responsibilities

• SharePoint Development & Architecture: Build, customize, and maintain SharePoint sites, site collections, workflows, master pages, lists, and web parts using both native capabilities and custom code.
  
  
• UI/UX & Page Design: Apply modern web design principles to overhaul page layouts, enhance site navigation, and ensure accessibility, branding consistency, and usability across all sites.
  
  
• Graphic Design & Visual Communications: Create high-impact visual assets—including infographics, executive brief layouts, charts, training materials, and custom logos—to make complex data accessible for leadership and stakeholders.
  
  
• Front-End Customization: Utilize HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SharePoint-native development tools to customize site themes, user interfaces, and custom forms.
  
  
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner directly with organizational leadership and content owners to translate business requirements into polished, mission-focused digital products.
  
  
• System Maintenance & Administration: Manage permissions, security groups, document libraries, and site policies while leveraging PowerShell scripting for site management and troubleshooting.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Clearance: Top Secret Clearance Required. 
• Citizenship: US Citizenship Required.
  
  
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
  
  
• Experience:
  
  
  • 10+ years of dedicated SharePoint development and site administration experience.
    
    
  • Proven experience with SharePoint 2019 or SharePoint Subscription Edition (SE).
    
    
  • Hands-on expertise in graphic design, publication layout, and visual communication.
    
    
• Technical Skills:
  
  
  • Front-end web development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XSL/XSLT, and CAML.
    
    
  • Automation & Forms: SharePoint Designer workflows and InfoPath customization.
    
    
  • Scripting & Security: PowerShell (SharePoint module), PKI infrastructure, certificates, and permission architecture.
    
    
• Soft Skills: Exceptional business analysis, requirements gathering, and written/verbal communication skills.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certifications (e.g., SharePoint, Power Platform, or Azure).
  
  
• Familiarity with third-party SharePoint add-ins and business intelligence (BI) tools.
