    Description

DescriptionProvidence caregivers are not simply valued—they're invaluable. Join our team and thrive in a culture of patient‑focused, whole‑person care built on understanding, commitment, and mutual respect. Your voice matters because we empower our people.Service Engineers ensure caregivers have a fast, reliable, frustration‑free digital experience by owning and operating our endpoint management platforms, including Microsoft Configuration Manager/SCCM, Microsoft Intune, and Jamf.In this role you partner with endpoint engineering, service desk, application delivery, cybersecurity, and field support teams to design, scale, and operate services that manage Windows and macOS devices across the organization. You own the full‑service lifecycle—from platform health, infrastructure reliability, policy and configuration management, operating system deployment, Autopilot, Jamf workflows, compliance reporting, to automation—while advancing the organization toward secure, modern, and consistent endpoint operations. When issues arise, you are the calm technical leader who uses platform data, logs, and operational telemetry to quickly identify root cause, restore service, and ensure durable automation, improved monitoring, and clear standards. As a senior engineer you set technical direction, mentor other engineers, and shape the endpoint management roadmap, defining what "good" looks like for scalable device management, secure configuration, deployment reliability, and service performance.Remote Work EligibilityProvidence offers remote work opportunities for candidates who can commute within a 65‑mile radius of any of our primary office locations listed below.Alaska: AnchorageWestern Washington: Seattle, Redmond, Renton, OlympiaEastern Washington: SpokaneWashington - Clark County: VancouverOregon: PortlandCalifornia - Humboldt County: EurekaNorthern California: Santa Rosa, SonomaSouthern California: Los Angeles, Irvine, AnaheimMontana: MissoulaTexas: LubbockRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience5 years related experience in systems administration (more preferred)Experience in automation, specifically related to deployment, recovery, or other manual processesExperience with n‑tier solutionsExperience with resilience modeling (failure mode analysis) and the ability to simulate service outages for point solutions (automated) and platforms (manually)Experience influencing software engineering team members in translating customer and technical requirements into service architecture to meet Quality of Service ExpectationsExperience leading and representing the Service in backlog discussions and standupsPreferred QualificationsExperience in a Healthcare environment5 or more years of Information Technology experience3 or more years of experience administering Windows and MacOS management platforms (Intune, Microsoft Configuration Manager/SCCM, Jamf)Strong experience with source code version control using Git/GitHubStrong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and systems managementSalary Range by LocationAK: Anchorage: Min: $61.31, Max: $104.39AK: Kodiak, Seward, Valdez: Min: $63.91, Max: $108.82California: Humboldt: Min: $63.91, Max: $108.82California: All Northern California - Except Humboldt: Min: $71.70, Max: $122.09California: All Southern California - Except Bakersfield: Min: $63.91, Max: $108.82California: Bakersfield: Min: $63.91, Max: $108.82Montana: Except Great Falls: Min: $49.36, Max: $84.05Montana: Great Falls: Min: $46.76, Max: $79.62Oregon: Non‑Portland Service Area: Min: $57.16, Max: $97.32Oregon: Portland Service Area: Min: $61.31, Max: $104.39Texas: Min: $46.76, Max: $79.62Washington: Western - Except Tukwila: Min: $63.91, Max: $108.82Washington: Southwest - Olympia, Centralia: Min: $61.31, Max: $104.39Washington: Clark County Washington: Min: $61.31, Max: $104.39Washington: Tukwila: Min: $63.91, Max: $108.82Washington: Eastern: Min: $54.56, Max: $92.89Washington: southeastern: Min: $57.16, Max: $97.32Equal Opportunity EmployerProvidence is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. About Company

Our Mission is more than just words.

    About Us

As the third largest not-for-profit health system in the United States, we are committed to providing for the needs of our communities – especially for those who are poor and vulnerable – across Alaska, California, Montana, Oregon and Washington.

Our system includes more than 82,000 caregivers (all employees) serving in a diverse range of ministries from birth to end of life, including acute care, physician clinics, long-term and assisted living, palliative and hospice care, home health, supportive housing and education.

    Where we serve

We operate 34 hospitals, 600 physician clinics, 22 long-term care facilities, 19 hospice and home health programs and 693 supportive housing units in 14 locations. Our health plan serves our caregivers and other large employer groups covering 513,000 members.

On any given day, we care for more than 1,200 people in our long-term care settings, more than 4,000 in our hospitals and more than 15,000 in our clinic settings. Daily, we serve more than 7,000 people in our many home health and palliative care programs and almost 800 in supportive housing. We touch more than five times as many lives in non-acute settings as we do in the traditional hospital setting.

A tradition of caring for everyone

When the Sisters arrived in the Pacific Northwest in 1856, they came to answer a call for help from a new pioneer community. What they found were many communities in need of service, and so with dedication to the Mission and collaboration with like-minded partners, their ministry grew to what is now a five-state health system.

Providence Health & Services continues a tradition of caring that the Sisters of Providence began more than 158 years ago. The cornerstone of our Mission is to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

We believe making a difference is one of our greatest rewards.
