Job Title : Senior ServiceNow Developer – ServiceNow Notify & Service Operations Specialist
Job Location : San Antonio, TX or Plano, TX - Onsite
Job Duration : 6 month(s)+ (Contract)
Employment Type: W-2 Only

Position Summary
  • We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer with proven hands-on expertise in implementing ServiceNow Notify end-to-end within large-scale enterprise environments. The ideal candidate must have successfully delivered ServiceNow Notify solutions, integrated communication channels, and supported Incident and Major Incident Management processes utilizing Service Operations Workspace.
  • This role requires deep expertise across the ServiceNow platform, including custom application development, integrations, portal development, workflow automation, JavaScript-based scripting, API development, and compliance-driven platform design. The successful candidate will partner with business stakeholders, platform owners, infrastructure teams, and service management teams to design, build, and deploy scalable communication and operational solutions.
Key Responsibilities
ServiceNow Notify Implementation
  • Lead and execute end-to-end ServiceNow Notify implementations.
  • Design, configure, and deploy enterprise communication workflows utilizing Notify.
  • Implement multi-channel notification capabilities including SMS, voice, email, push notifications, and collaboration platforms.
  • Configure communication plans, engagement workflows, recipient targeting, escalation paths, and message templates.
  • Integrate ServiceNow Notify with Incident, Major Incident, and Service Operations processes.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize notification delivery performance and reliability.
  • Establish governance, monitoring, reporting, and operational support models for Notify.
Service Operations & ITSM Development
  • Configure and customize:
    • Incident Management
    • Major Incident Management
    • Problem Management
    • Change Management
    • Knowledge Management
  • Implement and enhance Service Operations Workspace functionality.
  • Develop workspace experiences, agent workflows, dashboards, reports, and operational views.
  • Design solutions that improve MTTR and operational communications during service disruptions.
Platform Development & Customization
  • Develop and maintain custom applications on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Build Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and Flow Designer solutions.
  • Develop complex server-side and client-side JavaScript components.
  • Create reusable development frameworks and platform accelerators.
  • Ensure adherence to ServiceNow development best practices and upgrade-safe customizations.
Integrations & API Development
  • Design and implement integrations with internal and external enterprise applications.
  • Develop custom REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Configure IntegrationHub spokes and API-based orchestration workflows.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with:
    • Monitoring and observability tools
    • Collaboration platforms
    • Messaging providers
    • Incident management tools
    • Enterprise communication systems
  • Support authentication mechanisms including OAuth, JWT, API keys, and certificate-based integrations.
Employee Center Pro / Unified Portal Development
  • Configure and enhance Employee Center Pro and Unified Portal experiences.
  • Develop custom widgets, pages, service catalogs, and knowledge experiences.
  • Create personalized user experiences and service delivery workflows.
  • Improve self-service adoption through modern portal capabilities.
Compliance, Security & Governance
  • Design solutions that comply with enterprise regulatory and security requirements.
  • Support audit readiness and platform governance initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards for:
    • Data protection
    • Access controls
    • Audit logging
    • Change management
    • Secure development practices
  • Participate in risk assessments and architecture reviews.
Stakeholder Management
  • Work directly with platform leadership and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior developers.
  • Participate in design sessions, architecture discussions, and code reviews.
  • Drive best practices for ServiceNow platform development and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
Experience
  • 8+ years of ServiceNow development experience.
  • 3+ years of experience implementing advanced ServiceNow platform solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience with at least one full end-to-end ServiceNow Notify implementation in production.
  • Experience supporting large enterprise ServiceNow environments.
  • Experience working within regulated industries such as Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare, or Banking preferred.
