Overview:

Chenega is seeking a Senior Shift Supervisor - Lieutenant to lead and support armed security operations at the CDC in Atlanta, GA. This leadership role serves as the second-in-command for site security, overseeing shift supervisors and security officers, ensuring contract compliance, responding to critical incidents, maintaining operational readiness, and supporting the Site Supervisor-Captain in managing a high-performing security team.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor shift supervisors and security officers, ensuring high performance, accountability, professionalism, and compliance with post orders, SOPs, and client requirements.
  • Serve as the primary operational liaison between site leadership and field personnel, communicating critical information, monitoring activities, and responding to emergencies, incidents, and service complaints.
  • Oversee staffing and scheduling functions, including shift assignments, coverage changes, overtime monitoring, leave coordination, and payroll-related documentation.
  • Conduct inspections of personnel, posts, equipment, vehicles, weapons, and security operations to maintain operational readiness, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Review and maintain all required reports, logs, investigations, incident documentation, inventories, and security records while ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Assist the Site Manager/Captain with guard force management, training initiatives, quarterly exercises, after-action reviews, disciplinary actions, employee development, and overall site operations.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Five (5) years of experience in security, law enforcement, military operations, physical security, or a closely related field, including supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
  • Must possess a valid State Driver's License and meet all federal, state, and local requirements for armed security personnel, including applicable armed guard licenses and registrations.
  • Graduate of a recognized federal, state, local, military, law enforcement, or physical security training academy and able to qualify with a 9mm semi-automatic handgun.
  • Must successfully pass all required background investigations, security screenings, and drug screening requirements, with no disqualifying criminal history.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field.
  • Prior administrative leadership experience within law enforcement, security, military, or related operational environments.
  • Five (5) years of specialized experience in physical security or law enforcement operations.
  • Honorably discharged military service (if applicable).
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered.
