Who You Are:
You're an experienced forestry professional who enjoys leading field operations, solving problems, and managing large-scale silviculture programs from planning through execution. You're comfortable balancing office coordination with hands-on field oversight and know how to build strong working relationships with contractors and operational teams.
You bring strong operational judgment, a commitment to safety, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across a large and active timberland ownership. You're self-directed, practical, and thrive in environments where no two days look exactly the same.
The Opportunity:
Green Diamond Resource Company is seeking a Senior Silviculture Forester to support our Northwest Timberlands Division based in Shelton, Washington. This role oversees silviculture and forest management activities across approximately 315,000 acres of western Washington timberlands.
This position is a mix of field and office work, with approximately 50% of time spent in each environment. The role works closely with Forestry, Logging, Harvest Planning, Wildlife, and Engineering teams to coordinate safe, efficient, and sustainable forest management operations.
Key Responsibilities:
This role requires a strong background in forestry operations and the ability to work independently in both office and remote field settings.
What You Bring:
Preferred qualifications include knowledge of Washington Forest Practice regulations, leadership experience, and experience with budgeting or operational planning.
What the department is like:
The Land and Forest Management team is practical, experienced, and collaborative. People take ownership of their work but are quick to support each other when needed. There's a strong focus on doing things the right way-safely, efficiently, and with respect for the land and the communities around it. You'll have a good amount of independence in this role, along with support when you need it.
