Senior Snowflake Developer
We're seeking a Senior Snowflake Developer who will design, develop and maintain data solutions within our client's Snowflake platform. This requires building ELT/ETL pipelines, designing and implementing data models and developing Python-based data processing, automation and integration solutions. FOUR DAYS ONSITE IN MIDTOWN NYC ARE REQUIRED!
- Design, develop and maintain scalable data solutions within Snowflake.
- Support platform modernization and migration initiatives from legacy technologies to cloud-based platforms.
- Build and optimize enterprise-grade ELT/ETL pipelines supporting business-critical reporting and analytics requirements.
- Design and implement robust data models, including dimensional, analytical and operational reporting structures.
- Develop and maintain reusable transformation frameworks using dbt.
- Develop Python-based data processing, automation and integration solutions.
- Contribute to architecture decisions and technical design standards.
- Develop data ingestion and transformation processes from a wide variety of source systems.
- Optimize Snowflake databases, queries and workloads to improve performance and cost efficiency.
- Implement data quality controls and monitoring capabilities.

- Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake.
- Strong experience using dbt for transformation, modelling and deployment of data solutions.
- Advanced Python development skills for data engineering and automation.
- Strong SQL Server experience, including database design, optimisation and troubleshooting.
- Significant experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT solutions.
- Strong understanding of: Data warehousing principles; Star schema and dimensional modelling; Data architecture and data governance; Performance tuning and optimization
- Experience working with source control and CI/CD delivery practices.
- Financial Services experience is a strict requirement
- Experience engaging with business stakeholders, product owners and senior management.
