Senior Software (AI) Test Engineer

Job Description:
Evaluates and designs testing procedures to ensure that software meets established quality standards. Develops and writes testing scripts and plans to ensure that software functions as expected. Involved with a variety of user testing. Prepares complex data sets to test logic, error handling and system workflows. Conducts testing of more complex features. Verifies fixes. Monitors and documents testing results according to required procedures. Deep knowledge of software development cycle and quality assurance methodologies
Work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters.
Description:
The assigned resource will be responsible for developing the AI program focused on automating requirements and test case preparation, utilizing Visual Studio Code, Python, Copilot AI, and other tools provided by the postal service.

Responsibilities:
• 5 years of specialized AI development experience in technology or software development using Visual Studio Code, Python, Selenium, Databricks, Co-pilot etc.
• Design and develop test automation scripts using Selenium with Python, leveraging available AI models and LLMs to accelerate script creation, maintenance, and self healing.
• Build solutions using Visual Studio Code, Python, and related technologies to harness generative AI and LLMs (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Databricks).
• Integrate the existing Python test automation framework with AI-based solutions to improve coverage, reliability, and efficiency.
• Ensure all AI scripts and programs are fully executable on postal-issued laptops within approved security and environment constraints.
• Train designated team members to execute, troubleshoot, and maintain the AI scripts and programs.
• Develop comprehensive training materials and documentation to support knowledge transfer and long-term maintenance.

Description: Automation Tester with Selenium, Python, and AI Experience

• Design and develop test automation scripts using Selenium with Python, leveraging available AI models and LLMs to accelerate script creation, maintenance, and self-healing.
• Build solutions using Visual Studio Code, Python, and related technologies to harness generative AI and LLMs (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Databricks).
• Integrate the existing Python test automation framework with AI-based solutions to improve coverage, reliability, and efficiency.
• Ensure all AI scripts and programs are fully executable on postal-issued laptops within approved security and environment constraints.
• Train designated team members to execute, troubleshoot, and maintain the AI scripts and programs.
• Develop comprehensive training materials and documentation to support knowledge transfer and long-term maintenance.
• Candidates invited for interviews will be required to present working samples of relevant AI-enabled automation work.

Required Skills:
• Strong understanding of the full lifecycle (SDLC) with Agile/Scrum experience
• A strong understanding of Web-based applications
• Proven ability to Plan, Develop, Deploy Automated Test Frameworks and Scripts based upon BDD (Cucumber) / ATDD approach
• Experience using Java/Ruby Automation Frameworks, including framework development
• Experience with Build Processes using Jenkins or Cloud Management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (ability to translate between business and technical concepts)
• 8+ years' extensive experience developing automation tests in Selenium (TestNG)
• 8+ years' experience developing automated tests with Selenium / SOAPUI
• Proven ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences, both business and technical • • Proven ability to track, and fully document changes to business requirements (both functional and system)

Education:
• A minimum of eight (8) to twelve (12) years' relevant experience.
• A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required. If the individual's degree is not in the applicable field then four additional years of related experience is required.

Additional Provisions:
• Pass a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check.
• Once candidate's resume is approved and interview passed; the agency is responsible for providing drug screening. Failure to submit the drug screening results will delay the security clearance process.
• If a candidate is given an interim clearance, continuation of employment is then based on the candidate receiving a sensitive clearance.
• All candidates must be a US Citizen, permanent status Green card holder.
• Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
• All overtime must be pre-approved in writing by the client manager or his/her designated representative.
• Agency will not be reimbursed for overtime charges without previous written authorization. Authorized overtime will be reimbursed at straight time.
• The enforced dress code is business casual, i.e. collared shirt with slacks for men, no skirts above the knee for women. Place and Period of Performance
