PRIMARY FUNCTION

StraitSys is looking for a Senior Software Full Stack Developer to support the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Huntsville, AL. We are looking to hire a highly motivated, self-starter developer who will assist team leadership in the development and implementation of new software systems and applications as a key technical member of a software team utilizing the SAFE Agile methodologies for development.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Designs, develops, and maintains both frontend and backend systems, leads technical initiatives, mentors junior developers, and ensures scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.
  • Designing new software programs, websites, and applications.
  • Assist other junior/mid developers with any problematic areas such as coding, testing, debugging, security, and analytics.
  • Writing advanced programming code in languages including C#, SQL, Java, Python and more.
  • Reviewing updated software systems.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Balance hands-on coding with leadership responsibilities ensuring that applications are robust, scalable, and aligned with business goals.
  • Relentless pursuit of programmatic goals and milestones as a hands-on software developer while also being capable of interacting with customers and handling their concerns to satisfaction.
  • Able to self-motivate and resolve technical problems independently
  • Writing development reports.
  • Creating technical documents for new software programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline. Education substitution requires 13+ years' proven experience.
  • 3+ years proven experience as a senior software developer working with teams to deliver software application/tools, meeting requirements, budget, and schedule.
  • 8+ years' experience in full stack software development using C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.
