Senior Software Engineer

Be part of a team that designs, develops, and integrates highly complex software functions as a Senior Software Engineer. You will provide technical leadership in the identification and development of new products, lead proposals for future business opportunities, value engineering, and process improvements. You will act as a key focal point for driving and implementing technical goals and will be recognized as a primary technical authority.


Job Summary


The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for end-to-end software development activities, including requirements analysis, architecture, design, coding, integration, testing, and validation for healthcare software products. This role also provides technical leadership, customer support, and guidance on feature definition and certification activities.

Responsibilities
  • Gather, analyze, and document software requirements for healthcare products.
  • Design and develop software architecture and high-level solutions.
  • Implement clean, efficient, and maintainable code using SQL and .NET/C#.
  • Develop and consume RESTful APIs and work with SSIS and SSRS.
  • Integrate software components and third-party systems, including healthcare administration platforms.
  • Plan and execute software testing, verification, and validation activities.
  • Support certification processes for software products as needed.
  • Define and refine product features based on business and customer needs.
  • Provide technical customer support and troubleshoot complex production issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality healthcare solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and best practices.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in software development with recent experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Extensive experience in software architecture, requirements analysis, design, and coding for healthcare products.
  • Proficiency in SQL and .NET/C#.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, SSIS, and SSRS.
  • Hands-on experience with healthcare administration platforms such as QNXT or similar systems.
  • Understanding of claims, billing, enrollment, and care management workflows, particularly in Medicaid and Medicare segments.
  • Knowledge of healthcare EDI transactions is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative.

Summary Qualification
  • 10+ years of software development experience, primarily in the healthcare domain.
  • Proven track record in software architecture, requirements, design, coding, and integration.
  • Strong experience with SQL, .NET/C#, RESTful APIs, SSIS, and SSRS.
  • Direct experience with healthcare administration platforms such as QNXT or equivalent.
  • Understanding of Medicaid and Medicare claims, billing, enrollment, and care management processes.
  • Experience with healthcare EDI and payer systems is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and act as a primary technical authority.

Education
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Equivalent combination of education and extensive relevant experience may be considered.
